LIFE IS A PAINTING; YOU WERE THE RAINBOW
TRIBUTE TO MY PHENOMENAL COUSIN: CHIZO NWAKEGO OBIAGELI OWOH (NEE ERIC ATUANYA).
The Universe is a Painting, and you were lts crayons. You were a box of crayons in red wrappings and red ribbons. Like the coat of many colours your life was a gift and one of colour; radiant as the rainbow! The rainbow is a symbol of God’s redeeming grace and faithfulness. Ezk.1:28 speaks of the radiance around God like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds. The rainbow is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind and so were you! Akin to the rainbow you coloured and decorated humanity with your love, warmth, hope, elegance, style, steeze, courage, courage, class, confidence, strength, charisma, uncommon carriage, unique presence, philanthropy, beauty, faith, resilience, soft shoulders and much more!
You were indeed the rainbow that coloured every soul that crossed your path. You were the rainbow when it seemed like the sun wasn’t gonna shine again. You were always a rainbow in someone’s cloud and someone’s stormy weather.
You never had the need to reveal your true colour…..even from a distance your true colour was evidently and effortlessly rainbow. So, to say that everything about you was colour oriented and speaks of colour!
Your speech was colourful…measured and inspiring!
Your physique was colourful…… sleek, smooth, seemless and stately!
Your dressing was colourful……decent and dignifying!
Your person and presence was colourful….. attractive and adorable!
Your gait was colourful…..you moved with clinical and surgical precision!
Your style was colourful…… you had a peculiar steeze that made you unique and classic!
Tell me how do l say goodbye and goodnight to a woman of colourful radiance? Time and space will fail me to say it all. But l must say that you were a woman of beauty and brains, beautiful in features and effortlessly elegant.Tall and towering; you were clearly a runway model, a showcase of the unique and uncommon gene God bequeathed to the Atuanyas of Nkwelle Ogidi.
Tell me how do l say goodbye and goodnight to a cousin that became a sister and then a twin sister? We had a unique bond and operated on a flawless frequency. Every other night my phone beeps at sleepy hours and it was always a call from the US; Sis!…..your vigilant voice echoed with a loud and loving aura. It was always a time for a double dose of your warmth and fellowship. Truth be told, my phone will not ring again from your end but your life and times will keep ringing, beeping and buzzing in honourable and loving memories in the front burners of my heart and soul. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Even as l pen this tribute in wee and serene hours, in the settings of beautiful ambiance my ink refuses to dry on you…. and it is certain it will never dry! But in the interim l pause to say goodnight to a woman who was my friend, soulmate, cousin, sister, twin sister and much more! A woman l loved and adored in no mean measure. You were indeed a rainbow in my life…..you added colour! Not just in my life but that of family, friends, folks and as many that had fellowship and affinity with you!
With you l have learnt that everybody must not be part of our life journey. You were part of my mine and it was worth it and will always be!
Your life was colourful and impactful. Some live to extinguish lives, some live to distinguish lives…..you lived to distinguish lives! I am not perfect, l am not a prophet but l know that your life and times will keep resonating even after you’ve gone!
Yes! You are gone but not with the wind nor as a candle in the wind. You’ve gone to an authentic place and to an authentic and tangible God to rest in perfect peace forever!
Goodnight Ijele Nwanyi.
Rest in perfect peace.
Your Sis!
